My name is Catherine and I am a word-aholic.
I am a freshman majoring in Biological Sciences and English at the University of Notre Dame. Outside of class I play the flute/piccolo in the band and attempt to placate my computer. I also fill up notebooks with my "interesting" handwriting (when not suffering writer's block) and work my way through a truly epic list of books to be read/reread.
My grade school taught me Language Arts, Vocabulary, and Reading -- each class, every day, every year. Even before I made it through the infamous punctuation final at the end of my freshman year of high school, I was a stickler for grammar. Now I amuse myself by noting how many of my professors misuse its/it's. I had some fun researching the language usage of my generation, and I hope you enjoyed learning about it too.
